SAVE TER BORRE – SIGN THE PETITION
The municipal council (Vernieuwing – N-VA – CD&V) has placed a BOMB under the community life of Strombeek-Bever:
- The assisted living apartments will be closed on 31/12/2027
- The local service center will then be moved to the CC
- The Ter Borre building will be sold
Ter Borre is the beating heart of Strombeek and must not be sold.
Ter Borre is the permanent home for many senior associations and offers daily activities for MORE THAN 100 people. Ter Borre is accessible and affordable. Everyone is welcome!
Seniors who have lived their entire lives in Strombeek are being forced to find another place elsewhere, likely at a higher price.
Caring for seniors and investing in community life is, for us, A CORE TASK OF THE MUNICIPALITY.
The municipality claims that the building is in poor condition and that renovation costs are too high. That is not true! There is more than enough time to meet the environmental standards of 2050.
